Moroccan Mashrabiya Sofa

A traditional Moroccan Mashrabiya sofa doesn’t have a back, often they don’t have arms. Large scatter cushions are used as a back support and heavy bolsters make the arms. Often they are configured as an L shape, sometimes with one single arms at each end.

Our Moroccan Mashrabiya Sofas and chaises are generally made to order and so can be designed, with or without a back and arms and produced to your specific requirements. Any size is available. Prices exclude upholstery, bolsters and cushions, which can be provided.

Sofa Length

Typically a sofa 1m – 140cm long will seat 2 people. To seat 3 people comfortably 180cm is required, to double as a sleeping area 180cm – 2m.

Sofa Width

Typically a sofa seat is 80cm wide, this allows for a back cushion and scatter cushions, or a selection of large and small cushions.

An 80cm – 90cm wide seat cushion provides space for numerous scatter cushions, a very traditional Moroccan look.

A 60cm width provides a more upright seat but still allows for back cushions.

A 45 – 50cm provides a bench type seat.

Daybed

A day bed is typically 180cm to 2m long x 80 or 90cm wide and 85cm tall.

These are items are made to order, we have a delivery leave Morocco approximately every 4 – 8 weeks. However delivery times are dependant on customs processing times which vary and are beyond our control. For this reason. We suggest that you allow 10 weeks for delivery.
